Calling all Los Angeles-area Opponauts, I thought I'd put together a roundup highlighting a few Los Angeles area car events coming up in the next 2 weeks. So if you live here or are planning on visiting soon, here's some fun car stuff to check out!

First up, this Saturday !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! will be happening in Pasadena at Pasadena City Hall. I only recently discovered this event exists, which is a shame because I believe this might be the last one for the year (and also because it's close to my house) - the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I've seen promise some choice wheels will show up.

Up next on Sunday we'll have the Petersen Museum's last day before they close for an extensive renovation. This should be a good event: cruise in at 8 am, free admission to the museum, free parking if you bring a vintage or collector car, 50-75% off at the gift shop, and free frozen yogurt from YogurtLand. I've been to a few of their monthly cruise-ins and you see some really amazing stuff, like that original-patina beauty pictured above (any guesses what it is?)

Up next weekend is a very nice event, the Art Center Car Classic . It's sort of a mini-concorso , and is worth the price of admission (cheaper if you buy online in advance). The hilltop design campus is a perfect setting to show off some beautiful cars. And you can walk around their Transportation Design department and check out some of the awesome design work of the student body. They're honoring George Barris this year, so expect a few of his creations.
